Summer in the Pustertal: Lakes, Dolomites and Kronplatz
Hiking
In summer, the Pustertal is an invitation to get moving: alpine lakes, Dolomite peaks, historic towns and trails for every level.
From Hofer Hof, at 1,100 m in Chienes, in the heart of the valley, you can choose a different destination every day, by train or by car, and return in the evening to the stillness of the plateau.

The Kronplatz, Our Home Mountain
At 2,275 m, the Kronplatz offers views stretching across the Dolomites and the Alps. At the top you can walk along panoramic trails, stop at the Messner Mountain Museum Corones, and discover the legend of Dolasilla, from which the mountain takes its name.
You can reach it with a 10-minute drive to Casteldarne station and a 20-minute train ride to Perca, right at the cable car.
The Lakes of the Pustertal
Lake Braies (Pragser Wildsee), with its intense colors, is the most famous. Higher up, Lake Anterselva (Antholzer See) has a loop trail suitable for everyone, while Lake Dobbiaco (Toblacher See) is an easy walk between two nature parks. For a swim, the small Issengo lake (Issinger Weiher) is close to the farm.

Upper Pustertal and the Sexten Dolomites
Towards the east, the valley opens onto Dobbiaco, San Candido and the Fischleintal. From here start the hikes to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Drei Zinnen), on the border with Veneto, among the most recognizable peaks of the Dolomites.

Brunico and the Neighboring Valleys
Just a few kilometers from the farm, Brunico offers its historic center, the castle and the South Tyrol Museum of Ethnography in Teodone, where children discover animals and farm life as it once was. From here you can also reach the Ahrntal, the Gadertal and the Antholzertal. Heading west, instead, you will find Rio di Pusteria, Valles, Gitschberg Jochtal and Bressanone.

By Bike from Valley to Valley
The Pustertal cycle path lets you ride along the valley, even for short stretches, to San Candido and beyond, returning by train. For mountain bike lovers, the slopes of the Kronplatz offer trails for everyone.
Guest Pass
With the Guest Pass Kronplatz, regional trains and buses are included in your stay: you can reach the Kronplatz, Brunico and the neighboring valleys without a car.
